It may drive you up the wall... but we're so happy it is staying for awhile!

Praying for all of you that God will keep you in the palm of His hands through all of this. If the baby knew how spoiled it was going to be it would hurry and get here. God Bless you all!

Hey Kristin, Todd and Sam,
We are still keeping all of you in our prayers and we were happy to hear that baby P. will get some more time in Mommy's tummy spa.
What a lucky baby this will be to come home to this family filled with love and good care.
Love,
Jerry & Chris

God has wonderful plans for Baby P! For now, grow little friend...we pray you continue to get stronger and healthier by the measure of every sunrise...
From: Ann Thompson - St. Louis, MO 4/1/2009 7:41:30 PM
I am sure you are on quite the roller coaster right now. Luckily, Todd is so relaxed and laid back... not! Seriously, you both are wonderful, grounded people and you have handled all the ups and downs beautifully. Can't wait for the next 'up' when Baby P. makes his/her debut (do you really not know after 30 some ultrasounds?) and finds out how lucky he/she is to have you as parents. We will keep on praying for all the best. We love you!

Ok...you totally got me at first....I saw 'Surprise...baby P is here' and I automatically skipped to the next line to find out details because I was so surprised! April Fools....ha ha....I feel really dumb! You can tell that I have mainly been hanging with a 2 yr old today who has no clue about April Fools day! Anyway.....we will keep praying....now for maturing lungs. Thank you for the update....we can't wait to see her (I am putting my guess out there now!)!
From: Lisa Muller - Algona, IA 4/1/2009 1:32:06 PM
Oh boy...you two are going to have a little stinker on your hands I think. You will never be able to plan ahead with this one huh? She (I am still going with my theory) will continue to keep you on your toes!
It sounds like mommy's tummy is the best place still right now...so the prayers will be to continue to grow and get those lungs maturing and we will save the delivery prayers for down the road! Thanks for the update

We continue to think and pray for you all. Glad to hear that things are remaining steady and progress is being made! Your two kids are so lucky to have you as parents...you're amazing. We'll keep checking as the date gets closer. And of course, if we have any news before your date, we'll let you know as well from here in Chicago. It continues to look like April 6th for us. This will be an exciting spring!

I can't wait to meet this little person! And when he/she is old enough I'm going to sit with he/she and we can swap pacemaker stories. We will both have to rely on our parents to tell us the 'stories'! If it's okay with you guys I'm going to come and see he/she as soon as I can! In the hospital if you'll let me! I do not personally know ANYONE with a pacemaker, I can't wait!!!

Side note - Kristin, have you heard me telling you hello like everyday? I see the Apple award commercial on TV every morning. I always look up to see you and tell you hello! My friend, the famous teacher!! :) Love you!
From: Lisa - Algona, IA 3/9/2009 8:33:52 AM
I am so glad your appts went well again. Sounds like baby P is following directions very well! Don't look for that to continue a few years from now but enjoy it while you can!!! I can't wait to meet her(or him....)
I will be thinking of you all and praying for another great week of growing.

So glad to hear your appt. went well. Grow Baby Grow! And, way to go Sam! Sounds like the big kid bed is going well. Garrett has decided to wear big boy pants. Could the end of diapers be near??? Talk to you soon! Thanks for the posts - you guys are incredible!
From: Kelley Nedved - Des Moines, IA 3/2/2009 5:47:03 PM
Yah Sam!!! You are a bigger kid than Allie. Or you just have stronger parents than Allie.

Funny thing, I am learning so much about pacemakers and matters of the heart from you... and I have a pacemaker. My first one was put in when I was 9 months old and it was the size of a chew can. HUGE! They put it in my stomach because they knew that I'd need it for life. They wanted to save the area up by the collar bone for later in life. They didn't move it there until my last surgery in Jan. 2000. Things have come so far. The pacemaker I had before the one I have now, I had for 12 years. The advancement in those 12 years was amazing... as soon as the put the new one in, I could tell the difference. I'm due for a new one again, any time now. Monthly phone checks and I guess one of these times, they'll say we need to make an appointment instead of talk to you next month! ANYWAY... so glad to hear things are going well and are staying status quo.

So happy to hear that Sam is transitioning well... can we set up a playdate so he can talk to Allie about it? She doesn't even want to hear from me that she needs to sleep in her own bed. :(

Love you guys!
